Huawei Nova 14 Ultra: Huawei is set to update its Nova series with a new series launch in China this month. The news has created excitement with the confirmation of a new Ultra model in the pipeline. The company has already teased the look of these phones, giving us a sneak peek into what’s coming next for its Nova brand. Here’s all that’s officially known about the upcoming Nova 14 series.

Huawei Nova 14 Series Launch Details

Huawei Nova 14 series will officially launch in China on May 19 at 2:30pm local time. The lineup will succeed last year’s Nova 13 and 13 Pro. According to teasers and banners on Huawei’s Chinese website and Vmall, the series will include three phones — Nova 14, Nova 14 Pro, and a newly added Nova 14 Ultra. All three models are confirmed to ship with Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5 out of the box.

Huawei Nova 14 Ultra Design and Specifications

Nova 14 Ultra has been teased by the company in a golden color variant with a strip-textured rear panel. It sports a pill-shaped camera island, with a circular portion that accommodates a cluster of sensors and an LED flash. It differentiates the Ultra from the siblings and suggests a slightly higher-end finish. Nova 14 Ultra will be available in several configurations — 12GB RAM with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options.

Huawei Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro Models

The base Nova 14 and the Pro variant should be available in 256GB and 512GB storage capacities, both of which should come with 12GB of RAM. These two, along with the Ultra, are rumored to come with Kirin 9-series chipsets. All three are rumored to carry a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor, although other camera information has not been confirmed officially yet.

New Chipset and Software Upgrades

One of the most talked-about changes in the Nova 14 series is the shift to HarmonyOS 5 and the inclusion of the Kirin 9-series processors. These upgrades are expected to enhance overall performance, camera capabilities, and multitasking. Though specific performance benchmarks haven’t been revealed yet, expectations are high for Huawei’s custom software and chip integration.
