DA Hike: There is good news for government employees and pensioners. Actually, the state government has once again increased their dearness allowance under the Seventh Pay Commission. Giving a big relief to the employees and pensioners, their dearness allowance has been increased by two percent. With this, now their dearness allowance and dearness relief have increased from 53 to 55%.

Taking a big decision in the cabinet meeting, the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has increased the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners coming under the Seventh Pay Commission by two percent. With this, now they will be provided 55% of their basic salary as dearness allowance.

 

55% of basic pay available as dearness allowance

Actually, a cabinet meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Hemant Soren. In which a total of 34 proposals were approved. A proposal was sent to increase the dearness allowance given to government employees by two percent. Which has been approved.

After which now dearness allowance will be 55% of the basic salary and basic pension of employees and pensioners. The new rate will be applicable from January 1, 2025. In such a situation, the arrears amount from January to April will also be paid to the employees. The arrears amount of 4 months will be sent to their account. At the same time, more than three lakh employees and pensioners of the state are going to get direct benefit from this.

Let us tell you that earlier in December 2024, the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand had increased the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners under the Seventh Pay Commission by three percent. It was increased from July. With which the dearness allowance increased from 50 to 53%. In March 2024, the dearness allowance of the employee was increased by 4% from January 2024. Now once again the dearness allowance has been increased by 2% from January 2025.
