Bajaj Chetak 3503: Bajaj has added a new, affordable member to its Chetak 35 family – the Chetak 3503! This is the most affordable model in the 35 series, priced at ₹ 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, including central subsidy). Revealed along with the top-spec 3501 and the mid-range 3502 during the launch of the new Chetak range in December 2024, the Chetak 3503 is equipped with a new frame that makes this electric scooter even more practical, although some important features have been cut down for the lower price. This scooter is a great option for those who are looking for an affordable and eco-friendly electric scooter.
Features Changed
Compared to the Chetak 3502, the Chetak 3503 misses out on a front disc brake, and the TFT display on the 3502 is replaced by the older (and more affordable) circular colour LCD cluster. It also misses out on keyless go – which has been replaced by a conventional physical key – and the lockable glove compartment seen on the 3501 is also missing. The Chetak 3503 will be available in four colours – blue, black, white and grey.
Long seat and large storage space
The Chetak 3503 gets a 725 mm-long seat and 35 liters of underseat storage, making it practical. Using a new frame, the Chetak 3503 gets the same 35-litre underseat storage space, enhanced footboard space, and a 725 mm long seat as the other Chetak 35 models. It gets the same 3.5 kWh battery (now floor-mounted), which gives the scooter a claimed range of up to 155 kilometers. The 3503 gets an off-board charger, which will take 3 hours and 25 minutes for a 0-80 percent charge.
Performance
In terms of performance, the 3503 has a top speed of 63 kmph, while the other Chetak 35 models have a top speed of 73 kmph. However, it gets Eco and Sport ride modes, which improve the riding experience.

The closest competitors of the Chetak 3503 are the Ather Rizta S 2.9 kWh, TVS iQube 3.4 kWh, and Ola S1 X+. The affordable price of the Chetak 3503 makes it a strong contender, especially for those looking for a reliable electric scooter.
