Government Scheme: There is a big relief for common people. Uttar Pradesh has secured the number one position in Atal Pension Yojana. So far 1.20 crore people have enrolled under the scheme in the state. In a special campaign also, the state has secured the top position with 21.49 lakh enrollments against the target of 15.83 lakh enrollments in the last financial year.
For this outstanding performance, Uttar Pradesh State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has been honoured with the ”Award of Ultimate Leadership”’. Atal Pension Yojana is a social security scheme of the Government of India, which was launched in the year 2015. Indian citizens between 18 and 40 years of age from the unorganized sector are provided a monthly pension of one thousand to five thousand rupees after retirement.
A small amount has to be deposited on a monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis, which is automatically transferred from the bank account. The Atal Pension Yojana scheme is being operated through a total of 60 stakeholders including eight lead banks.
CM Yogi launched a campaign on a wide scale
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a massive awareness campaign to reach the Atal Pension Scheme to the masses. The maximum number of nominations have been made in the state, especially in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Bareilly, Fatehpur and Kanpur. This initiative of Chief Minister Yogi is proving to be a boon for those who are working in the unorganized sector and who do not have any permanent source of income after retirement.
