Design and Build Quality
Vivo T4 5G measures 7.89 mm in thickness with a slender look, although heavier at 199g, slightly more than the competition in its class. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor for extra convenience. Alternatively, the Oppo F29 5G measures 7.7 mm in thickness and weighs 185g, making it the lightest model. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Display Quality
Vivo T4 5G flaunts an incredibly large 6.77-inch AMOLED screen that offers a screen resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels and a pixel density of 388 ppi. The screen offers a 120Hz screen refresh rate and P3 color gamut and SGS Low Blue Light Certification, offering maximum utilization of the phone’s screen for extended hours. For comparison, Oppo F29 5G boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and 1080 x 2412 pixels resolution at 392 ppi. Although it supports a 120Hz top refresh rate, it has only a maximum of 1200 nits of brightness and is therefore somewhat less convenient to use outdoors.
Camera Performance
Vivo T4 5G comes with a 50MP + 2MP dual camera setup at the rear with OIS, and it provides reasonable photography and 1080p FHD recording performance. The front camera is a 32MP sensor, and it takes good selfies. Oppo F29 5G has a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup, but it also has a front camera, which is a 16MP sensor. The two phones have the same rear camera setup, but Vivo T4 5G has a stronger front camera, which would be a perfect choice for selfie lovers.
Performance and Processing Power
Vivo T4 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, which has an octa-core processor with a processing speed of 2.5 GHz. It comes with 8GB RAM and another 8GB virtual RAM, and hence it is extremely fast and can multitask without any issue. Or else, the Oppo F29 5G has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor with an octa-core 2.2 GHz one, which is not very slow. It has 8GB of RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM, but its performance in general can be inferior to the Vivo T4 5G.
Battery Life and Charging
Vivo T4 5G comes with an enormous 7300mAh battery and also has 90W Superfast Flash Charge, and charges extremely, extremely fast. There is reverse charging as well. Oppo F29 5G has a marginally lower capacity battery at 6500mAh but has 45W SUPERVOOC charge, which is slow compared to the charging speed of Vivo T4. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radios in either phone, which may be a deal breaker for some.
Verdict: Which One to Choose?
If you require a phone with a bigger battery, quicker charging, and better performance, choose the Vivo T4 5G. It outshines its competition in every aspect except one, whether it is screen, performance, or battery. But if you require a phone that is a bit lighter in weight but has a stunning camera setup, the Oppo F29 5G would be a more suitable option.
