How will it be resolved
According to the information, in the new policy, the government will give the facility to the people that they can recharge their Fastag for three thousand rupees, after which they will not have to pay tax at any toll plaza for the next one year. After this recharge, they can cross an unlimited number of toll plazas. Due to which one can get rid of the hassle of paying tax repeatedly at the toll plaza and keeping a minimum balance.
Another option was considered
According to reports, another option was also considered by the central government. According to which, if Rs 30 thousand is paid while buying a new car, then there will be no need to pay at any toll plaza for the next 15 years. But there was no consensus between all the parties on the lifetime pass, due to which this option was abandoned.
Who will get the benefit

If the formula of three thousand rupees is implemented by the government under the new policy, then its biggest benefit will be to those who use national highways and expressways to go from one city to another every month.
How will the loss be compensated
According to reports, if such a decision is implemented by the government, then the concessionaires and contractors will suffer losses. Which will be compensated by the government under a special formula. Under the formula, a digital record of vehicles passing through toll plazas will be maintained and the difference between the claims and actual collections of concessionaires and contractors will be compensated as per a specific formula.
