Mahindra has also shown a pickup concept based on the new Scorpio N, and has also revealed its plans to bring electric versions of the Bolero and Scorpio. Mahindra is soon going to introduce a new and powerful range of electric vehicles including the Thar.e, Bolero.e, Scorpio.e, XUV.e, and BE .
Futuristic design and powerful features

The Mahindra Thar.e will be available in both 3-door and 5-door layouts in the future, giving customers the freedom to choose the option according to their needs. At the rear, the Thar Electric Concept features a spare wheel on the tailgate. The SUV has massive wheels with aggressive pattern tires. The rear tail lights mimic the LED DRL signature on the front, giving it a modern and unique look.
Interior

The interior of the Thar.e concept features a flat dashboard with grab handles on both ends, a flat three-spoke steering wheel, a central touchscreen, and a pronounced central tunnel to complete its minimalist yet tough look. It also gets a fighter aircraft-like live ‘Status’ pictograph on the instrument panel, giving it a different and exciting feel. The Thar.e uses fabric made from 50 percent recycled PET and uncoated recycled plastics, which shows Mahindra’s commitment to the environment.
Powerful powertrain and long-range promise
The Thar EV will use a modified version of Mahindra’s new INGLO Dedicated EV Platform, known as P1. The INGLO (India Global) platform uses a skateboard platform with a flat battery mounted between the wheels. The same platform will also be used in the other five all-new electric SUVs.
INGLO Platform

The INGLO platform currently uses motors and batteries from BYD (Build Your Dreams). However, Mahindra will likely source the motor from Volkswagen for the Thar.e. The battery will be common with other INGLO SUVs, with a 60kWh battery being the most likely. Mahindra says the larger 80kWh battery will deliver a driving range of around 435km to 450km under the WLTP cycle (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure), so a range of around 325km can be expected from the smaller battery pack.
Launch
Mahindra plans a launch by October 2026. The company will launch the BE.07 model at the end of its plan. The production version of the Thar.e will take some time to reach the showrooms. The estimated price of the Mahindra Thar.e can be around ₹ 18 lakh to ₹ 20 lakh. This electric SUV can prove to be a powerful option for those who are fond of off-roading and want to adopt the electric mobility of the future.
