New Design with Tweaked Camera Layout
A design render leaked via Smartprix reveals that the Oppo Reno 14 Pro will have the same rear design language as the predecessor but will see the addition of a new redesigned camera island. While the Reno 13 Pro features its triple cameras placed within individual circular rings, the Reno 14 Pro moves to a more integrated module. The periscope telephoto lens and primary sensors are now combined in a vertical pill-shaped module, while the periscope telephoto lens is placed independently at the side, right above the LED flash.
Even with this redesign, the location of the camera remains at the top left on the back panel. This aesthetic adjustment not only gives a cleaner rear design but also suggests a more premium build.
Display & Software Upgrades
One of the most apparent changes will be in the display department. Contrary to its predecessor’s curved screen, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro is likely to come with a flat OLED screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate. This could be a preference for users who like the flat design to have a better grip and use. The phone is also likely to come with Android 15, operating Oppo’s next-gen ColorOS 15 interface.
Camera Specifications
Photography seems to be the top priority. The Reno 14 Pro is said to boast a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens providing 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. These features may significantly enhance zoom capabilities and landscape photography over the original device.
New Magic Cube Button & Launch Timeline
Oppo can also launch a new “Magic Cube” button, just like Apple’s Action Button. This remappable button will introduce custom functionality, such as quick app access or shortcuts, providing more interactivity to users.
According to the leak, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro may be arriving in China next month, while it will make its India debut in June or July 2025. But as Oppo has not made any official statements, these should be taken in a cautious spirit.
