New Delhi: Honda Cars India is reportedly gearing up to launch a new variant of its popular compact sedan, the Honda Amaze. While the company has yet to make an official announcement, rumors suggest that this new model will feature upgraded technology, improved safety features, and a refreshed design.
Possible Feature Upgrades
According to industry speculation, the new Honda Amaze variant could introduce features such as a wireless phone charger, a digital instrument cluster, and enhanced connectivity options, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some reports also hint at the inclusion of rear AC vents for added passenger comfort.
Safety is expected to be a key focus in this update. While the current generation of Amaze already comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera, the upcoming variant might include additional features such as a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system, and improved crash safety compliance.
Engine and Performance
The Honda Amaze currently runs on a 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering around 90 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque. It is available with both a five-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic option. It is likely that the new variant will retain this engine setup, focusing more on feature enhancements rather than mechanical changes.
Expected Launch and Competition
Though Honda has not confirmed an exact launch date, market experts speculate that the new Amaze variant could arrive later this year. This update could help Honda strengthen its position against competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor in the compact sedan segment. With the growing demand for feature-rich and safe vehicles, the rumored Honda Amaze variant could attract a broader customer base. If these speculations hold true, Honda might introduce a compelling update to an already well-loved sedan, offering better value to potential buyers.
