The latest car to be included in this category of six airbags is Celerio. Previously, the hatchback only had two airbags – for the driver and the front passenger. Due to the additional airbags, the price of the Celerio has gone up by Rs 32,500. The VXI manual range including petrol and CNG has seen a price hike of Rs 16,000 while the VXI AMT is now dearer by Rs 21,000. The LXI, ZXI MT and ZXI+ MT are now Rs 27,500 more premium. The Celerio is powered by a 998cc petrol engine that produces 67.5bhp at 5600rpm and 91.1Nm at 3400rpm.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
Price- Rs 5.98 lakh to Rs 8.38 lakh, ex-showroom
The Grand i10 Nios was the first car in its segment to offer six airbags as a standard safety feature. It has features like Hill Assist Control, Rear Parking Camera and Electronic Stability Control. This hatchback has a 1.2-litre petrol engine and is available in petrol and CNG. The petrol has an output of 82 bhp at 6000 rpm and 113.8 Nm at 4000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT. On the other hand, it generates 67.7 bhp at 6000 rpm and 95.2 Nm at 4000 rpm and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Nissan Magnite
Price- Rs 6.12 lakh to Rs 11.72 lakh, ex-showroom
The Magnite is the most affordable compact SUV in the market with six airbags. Additionally, the Magnite gets three-point seat belts with reminder alert, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, hill start assist and auto-dimming internal rear view mirror. The Magnite is available in two powertrain options – 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1-litre turbo. The NA engine makes 71 bhp at 6250 rpm and 96 bhp at 3400 – 3600 rpm while the turbo makes 98.6 bhp at 5000 rpm and 160 bhp at 2800 – 3600 rpm.

Hyundai Exter
Price- Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.48 lakh, ex-showroom
The Hyundai compact SUV made a big splash in sales when it made its debut in 2023, but based on January 2025 sales figures, it has now dropped out of the top 20 best-selling cars. It features six airbags, vehicle stability management, tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX seats, rear parking camera, electronic stability control and hill start assist control. It is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the Grand i10 Nios, with the same output, transmission options and CNG trim.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Price- Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.50 lakh, ex-showroom
The popular sporty hatchback Swift features six airbags, hill-hold assist, electronic stability program, reverse parking camera, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX seats. The Swift is powered by a new 80 bhp 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 111.7 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. The CNG version produces 68.7 bhp at 5700 rpm and 101.8 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm. The petrol trim is equipped with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, while the CNG only gets a 5-speed manual.
