Jeep is going to launch its new Compass (Jeep Compass 2024) in Europe this year, but there is no plan for it in India at the moment. This new SUV is built on the STLA Medium platform, which comes with more advanced and expensive technology. In this article, we will tell you the features, design and reason for not coming to India of the new Jeep Compass.

New Jeep Compass Design and Look

The look of the new Jeep Compass is going to be more muscular and powerful than before. It is being manufactured at the Melfi plant in Italy and its size will also be bigger.

  • Length: 4,500 mm (100 mm more)
  • Width: Slightly more than before
  • Headlights: Boxy design with LED DRL
  • Grill: Signature 7-slot design
  • Bumper: Sharper and bolder than before

This time the company has not adopted the split headlamp design, due to which hardcore Jeep fans will like it.

New Jeep Compass side and rear profile

The new Jeep Compass will look more aggressive than before when viewed from the side. It will have sharp character lines, large wheel arches and a sleek glasshouse.

  • Wheel arches: Small air vents with new design
  • Rear profile: Curvy design and large taillights
  • Side profile: Longer and more attractive

New Jeep Compass Engine and Powertrain

The new Jeep Compass is built on the STLA Medium platform, which allows it to be brought with multiple powertrain options.

  • MHEV (Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
  • PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
  • BEV (Fully Electric Vehicle)

This SUV will be more eco-friendly and advanced, due to which it is expected to get a tremendous response in the European market.

Why the new Jeep Compass will not come to India

Now the biggest question – why will the new Jeep Compass 2024 not come to India? The biggest reason behind this is the high price of the STLA Medium platform.

  • This platform is designed for electrification, which will make it very expensive for India.
  • The electric vehicle market in India is not fully ready yet, so Jeep does not want to launch an SUV on this expensive platform.
  • The current Jeep Compass will continue in India and will be sold until BS7 norms arrive.
