The Indian Postal Department (India Post) is looking to fill 21,413 positions for Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) as part of the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2025. For educational qualifications and skills, here’s what you need:

 

1. You must have completed 10th grade from a recognized board.

2. Maths and English should be part of your 10th-grade subjects.

3. You need to know the local language of the state you’re applying to.

4. Basic computer skills are required.

5. You should be able to ride a bicycle (if you can ride a scooty or bike, that works too).

 

As for the age limit, candidates aged between 18 and 40 can apply, with age relaxation available as per the rules.

This recruitment will not involve a written exam. Instead, the selection will rely entirely on a merit list derived from 10th-grade marks. Candidates with higher educational qualifications will not receive any extra consideration.
