The e-Vitara will offer a strong range of 500km+ on a single charge, perfect for city and highway driving. It will be Maruti's first long-range EV.
It is built on Maruti's new Heartect e platform, which uses more than 50% high-tensile steel. It is both strong and lightweight.
The e-Vitara will get six airbags, ABS, ESC and structural safety features. It is a contender for a 5-star rating in the GNCAP crash test.
Premium features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital dashboard, wireless charging and connected car technology will make the e-Vitara special.
With a 2,700mm wheelbase, the e-Vitara will get more legroom and boot space, making it an ideal EV for families.
The Toyota-badged version of the e-Vitara will also be launched this year. Both models will be manufactured at Suzuki's Gujarat factory.
The Maruti e-Vitara is expected to be priced between ₹15-20 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it competitive in the EV market.
