Samsung recently launched its flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 Series, in which the most talked about model is Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. There is a lot of discussion in the tech community about this phone, especially about the removal of Bluetooth feature from its S Pen. Recently a teardown video has surfaced, which reveals the reason behind this change. This time YouTube channel JerryRigEverything did a teardown of the phone, which revealed that Samsung has taken this big decision to reduce costs. But was it the right decision? Let’s know about this in detail.
Why did Samsung remove Bluetooth from the S Pen?
The biggest reason behind this decision of Samsung is believed to be cost cutting. The company believes that most users did not use the Bluetooth S Pen, so the production cost has been reduced by removing it. However, this may disappoint those users who liked the Bluetooth gesture feature of the S Pen. This means that now the S Pen that comes with the S25 Ultra can only be used for writing digital notes and touch input.
Why isn’t the S Pen Bluetooth-enabled on the S25 Ultra?
The teardown video also revealed that Samsung has removed the inductive charger from inside the S Pen dock. This simply means that if the company wanted, it could sell the Bluetooth-enabled S Pen separately. Also, the new S Pen does not have a battery, so it cannot be charged even if the phone supports charging.
S25 Ultra other hardware changes
This time Samsung has made many changes not only in the S Pen but also in other components of the phone.
- Battery design:
This time Samsung has fitted the battery without glue, making it very easy to remove and replace it. - Speaker quality:
Foam balls have been used in the speaker grill of the phone, due to which the sound effect of the audio seems more powerful than before. - SIM slot design:
The design of the SIM slot of the S25 Ultra is such that the microphone hole given below can be damaged while removing the SIM. Therefore, it is important to be careful while using it.
