Huawei is all set to launch its Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design in the international market this month. This is the world’s first triple-fold smartphone, which can prove to be a new milestone in the world of technology. The company launched this phone in China in September last year and now preparations are being made to introduce it in the international market. The specialty of this phone is its unique triple-fold design, which makes it different from brands like Samsung and Oppo.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design launch date and event
Huawei posted on its official Mate (formerly Twitter) account that an innovative product launch event will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 18. The international launch of the Mate XT Ultimate Design will take place at this event. It is likely that the specifications of the international variant will be similar to the variant launched in China. Samsung and Oppo are also preparing to enter the triple-fold smartphone market, but Huawei has already entered this segment first.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design and Display
The biggest feature of the Mate XT Ultimate Design is its screen. The phone can be folded three times, which changes the screen size:
- Unfolded display: 10.2 inches (3,184 x 2,232 pixels)
- First fold: 7.9 inches (2,048 x 2,232 pixels)
- Second fold: 6.4 inches (1,008 x 2,232 pixels)
It comes with an LTPO OLED display, which ensures excellent screen quality and also reduces battery consumption.

This phone has an excellent triple camera setup:
- 50MP primary camera (with OIS and f/1.2 – f/4.0 aperture)
- 12MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture)
- 12MP periscope telephoto camera (5.5x optical zoom and f/3.4 aperture)
- 8MP front camera (for selfies and video calling)
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate processor and HarmonyOS
Huawei has provided its HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system in this phone. This phone comes with Huawei’s own chipset and high-performance features.
