Galaxy S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra: Know Features and Price

When it comes to smartphones, everyone wants the best device for themselves. Samsung introduced its new Galaxy S25 Ultra at the first Unpacked event of 2025. This phone is not only expensive but is also one of the most advanced Android flagship smartphones of this year.

With a strong design, new ultra-wide-angle lens, and powerful hardware, this phone has garnered a lot of buzz. But the question is, if you already have the Galaxy S24 Ultra, is it right to upgrade? Let’s find out.

Design

Talking about its design, Galaxy S25 Ultra has made a big change in its design this time. While Galaxy S24 Ultra had a curved frame and rectangular display, S25 Ultra comes with a flat frame and flat display. Its screen is 6.9 inches with QHD + resolution, with 120Hz refresh rate. It is also lighter than S24 Ultra (15 grams less) and has been given Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protection.

Talking about performance, the S25 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which offers 37% more CPU performance and 30% better graphics. Also, the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) is 40% faster. However, the RAM and storage options remain the same as before – 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB.

New S-Pen

The new S-Pen that comes with the Galaxy S25 Ultra may be a bit disappointing for some users. It no longer has Bluetooth support, missing out on features like Air Actions and Camera Trigger.

However, it is better than ever for taking notes as its tip is more fine. If you can live without the advanced features of the S-Pen, then this change is not bad. But if you are a fan of the old S-Pen on the S24 Ultra, think before upgrading.

Camera

Now talking about the camera, the biggest change in the S25 Ultra’s camera is seen in the ultra-wide-angle sensor. The old 12 MP sensor has been replaced with a 50 MP sensor, which works to give better detail and quality. All other cameras are the same – 200 MP main camera, 10 MP 3x telephoto lens, and 50 MP 6x telephoto lens.

OneUI 7 and AI

The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with OneUI 7, which is based on Android 15. It has features like new AI experiences and Gemini assistant. The good thing is that this update is also likely to be available for the Galaxy S24 Ultra by March.

Battery and charging

Now talking about battery and charging, no major changes have been made in it. The S25 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging. New Qi2 wireless charging support has definitely been added, but its speed is limited to 15W.

The new Galaxy S25 Ultra is a great smartphone, in which you get a new design, powerful processor and better camera. But if you are thinking of upgrading from S24 Ultra, then first think whether these changes are necessary for you or not.
