Teams occasionally leap up the standings, while others slide down. Consequently, everyone is eager to know who currently occupies the top spot on the IPL points table. Wednesday witnessed a highly decisive match in the tournament.
In a nail-biting contest, Gujarat defeated Delhi by just one run to open their account for the season. With this result, the Delhi Capitals’ winning streak also came to a halt. Following the match between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans, there have been no further changes to the standings. Gujarat has climbed to the sixth position with two points.

RCB occupies the third position, having secured 4 points by winning both of their matches so far.
In terms of Net Run Rate, RCB stands at 2.501. The Delhi Capitals are in fourth place, having won 2 out of their 3 matches to accumulate 4 points, with a Net Run Rate of 0.811. In fifth place are the Sunrisers Hyderabad, with one win from three matches. The Gujarat Titans are currently in sixth place, with one win from three matches, giving them 2 points and a Net Run Rate of -0.270. Finally, the Lucknow Super Giants are in seventh place, having recorded one win in their two matches so far, with a Net Run Rate of -0.542.
