Dishant Yagnik joins KKR for the IPL 2026 season
They have already added several veterans to their team. Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed Dishant Yagnik as the team’s fielding coach ahead of IPL 2026. Dishant Yagnik is a former wicketkeeper-batsman who represented Rajasthan in domestic cricket. He played a total of 25 IPL matches between 2011 and 2014.
After retirement, he served as fielding coach for several IPL seasons. He will now work with KKR, where he will focus on raising the level of fielding. KKR has assembled a new and fresh support staff for this season. The team will be led by head coach Abhishek Nayar. Dwayne Bravo will serve as mentor, with Shane Watson as assistant coach. Tim Southee will assume the duties of bowling coach, and Andre Russell will serve as powerhouse coach.

The addition of Dishant Yagnik to this star-studded group will play a crucial role in strengthening the team’s fielding. Dishant Yagnik has played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He played a total of 25 matches, scoring 170 runs. In domestic cricket, he has experience playing 50 first-class matches and 41 List A matches.

“Yagnik is set to bring a wealth of experience and a sharp eye for fielding excellence to KKR, with the franchise set to enter the IPL with a fresh, new-look support staff unit led by Abhishek Nayar (head coach), DJ Bravo (mentor) Shane Watson (assistant coach), Tim Southee (bowling coach) and Andre Russell (power coach),” KKR said in a statement.
