Samsung is once again going to create a stir in the world of technology! The company is preparing to launch its first tri-folding smartphone, Galaxy G Fold, soon. This phone is set to compete with Huawei Mate XT, which was recently launched in the global market. If reports are to be believed, this new tri-foldable phone can come in the market this year along with Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.

Patent details and design

Samsung has been granted a patent for a new tri-folding device by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) on February 25. The design of this device is quite unique and it supports flip-style folding.

  • This device can fold twice, that is, it has two hinges.
  • When fully opened, it will turn into a large-screen device.
  • This new design will be different from the existing Galaxy Z Flip series, because till now the company was offering only single-fold flip phones.

S Pen support

The biggest feature is that this device can come with S Pen support! A slot for S Pen has been seen in the patent image, which makes it certain that it will have a stylus feature.

  • Given the S Pen support, this device can also be a tablet.
  • it can also come as a smartphone with S Pen like the Galaxy S Ultra series.
  • An oval-shaped camera module is seen at the back of the phone, which suggests that it will have a great camera setup.
  • The volume rocker and power button will be at the top of the device, while the USB Type-C port will be at the bottom.

Launch

Talking about its launch, this design is currently in the patent stage, and it is not certain whether the company will bring it to the market or not. But it is certain that Samsung is working on tri-foldable technology for the future.

Earlier there were reports that the Galaxy G Fold will have a large 9.96-inch display, which will be much larger than the 7.6-inch display of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
