Samsung officially teases Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 mid-range smartphones in India Premium design, better performance and six years of OS updates — that’s what Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A series is promising. Here’s what these phones could bring to the table.

Design and Display with a Large OLED Screen

The Galaxy A56 and A36 will also have a premium design with a flat-frame and matte finish. The A56 will probably have a 6. 6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the A36 might have a smaller OLED panel with the same smooth performance. With Samsung’s AMOLED tech, you’ll get deep blacks, vivid colors, and great brightness for gaming and media.

Performance and Battery

Samsung Galaxy A56 could be powered by Exynos 1580 and Galaxy A36 by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for multitasking. A 5, 000mAh battery with 45W fast charging gives all-day power to these devices, perfect for gamers, heavy users and content creators.

Cameras

Samsung is also upping its camera game, even in the mid-range. The Galaxy A56 is said to come with a 50MP primary camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so you should be able to take sharp and steady photos, even in low-light conditions. A 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro lens could complete the triple-camera setup. The Galaxy A36 could also come with a 50MP main camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, so it could be a capable photography lover.

But for selfies, both phones could also have a 32MP selfie camera for video calls and social media uploads. Samsung’s AI camera features like Night Mode and Portrait Mode will also be present.

Samsung to offer 6 Years of OS updates to future proof experience

Probably the most important aspect of the Galaxy A56 and A36’s software support is that Samsung will provide it for six years. That means you should be able to get Android and One UI updates for quite some time to keep your phones secure and up to date. The devices should also come with Android 15 out of the box so you get the latest features right out of the box.

Expected Price and Launch Date in India

Samsung hasn’t revealed pricing yet, but rumored prices for the Galaxy A56 include 35, 000-40, 000 while the Galaxy A36 could retail for 28, 000-32, 000. We don’t have an official launch date yet, but the devices should launch in March 2024.
