Weather Update: The weather in the national capital, Delhi, has taken a turn once again. The weather in Delhi has changed again. Cold winds have been blowing since this morning, January 27th. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert on Tuesday for rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in Delhi. Since this morning, the skies over Delhi-NCR have been cloudy, and winds are blowing.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 9 degrees Celsius. Tuesday morning in Delhi-NCR began with fog and mist, followed by strong, icy winds that have left people shivering.

Due to a Western Disturbance, the weather in Delhi-NCR changed again on Tuesday. This spell of rain is expected to continue throughout the day. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of inclement weather in the Delhi-NCR region. The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain with strong winds. The Meteorological Department has advised people to take precautions. The possibility of increased cold due to the rain has also been indicated.

The air quality in the capital has also deteriorated once again. By 7:30 AM, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 281, in the ‘poor’ category.

Rain in Delhi?
According to the IMD, this change in weather in Delhi and North India is due to a Western Disturbance. This Western Disturbance is bringing rain and snowfall to the Western Himalayan region. The Meteorological Department has stated that light to moderate rain and snowfall are possible in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on January 27th and 28th. Heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds are also expected in some areas.

What will the weather be like in Delhi in the coming days?

On January 27th, rain or thunderstorms, along with strong winds, are likely. The meteorological department predicts temperatures will range from 9 to 19 degrees Celsius during this period.

On January 28th, moderate fog is expected in the morning. Temperatures will range between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.

From January 29th to 31st, fog is possible in the mornings, while the weather is expected to be clear during the day. The maximum temperature could reach 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
