New Delhi: Preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup are complete. The ICC has dealt a blow to Bangladesh by excluding them from the T20 World Cup. Pakistan has announced its team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup amidst threats of a boycott. They will play their first match against the Netherlands in Colombo on February 7th.
The team was announced at a press conference held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, attended by PCB High-Performance Director Aaqib Javed, T20 World Cup captain Salman Ali Agha, and White-Ball Head Coach Michael James Hesson.
Significantly, Captain Salman Ali Agha, along with Fahim Ashraf, Khawaja Nafay, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Sahibzada Farhan, and Usman Tariq, have been included in the squad for an ICC tournament for the first time. Experienced players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, and Fakhar Zaman, who have previously played in the T20 World Cup, are also part of the team.
