UP Government Announces 1,894 Teacher & Headmaster Posts. The Uttar Pradesh Basic and Secondary Education Department has announced a major recruitment drive for teachers in non-government-aided junior high schools across the state. The UP Junior Aided Teacher Notification 2025,issued by the department,will fill a total of 1,894 positions. These include 1,504 Assistant Teacher and 390 Headmaster positions.
The online application process will begin on November 15,2025,and will continue until December 5,2025. Candidates can apply through the website basiceducation.up.gov.in.

UP Junior Aided Teacher Recruitment 2025: Key Information
The Uttar Pradesh government has opened this recruitment drive to candidates who passed the 2021 Junior High School Teacher Examination (UP Junior Teacher Exam 2021). Eligible candidates can participate in this recruitment process and become permanent teachers in aided schools across the state.
The recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based. This means that candidates will be selected solely based on the merit list of the 2021 examination.

Eligibility and Qualification Criteria
For Assistant Teacher:
Candidates must have a graduation degree.
Also,completion of a BTC or D.El.Ed course is required.
Passing the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is mandatory.
Age Limit: 21 to 40 years (as of July 1,2025).
For Headmaster:
Candidates must have a B.Ed. A degree and at least 5 years of teaching experience.
Age Limit: 30 to 45 years.
Age relaxation will apply to reserved categories as per state government rules.
