New Delhi: A major update has emerged regarding Maharashtra politics, which is being considered a major blow to non-BJP political parties. Following the death of state Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, speculation had been rife that Sunetra Pawar, who was appointed Deputy Chief Minister, would merge the party with her uncle, but that will no longer be the case.

Sunetra Pawar, who has now separated from Sharad Pawar, is now considered certain to become the new National President of the NCP. In a meeting with senior leaders on Monday, the decision to appoint Sunetra Pawar as the party’s National President was unanimous. All leaders have expressed their agreement.
