Shambhavi Pathak:- A plane crashed today, January 28th, in Baramati, Maharashtra. NCP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Ajit Pawar, was on board and died in the accident. Ajit Pawar was on his way to address several rallies as part of the campaigning for the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti general elections when the plane crashed. Who was Captain Shambhavi Pathak?
According to reports, Captain Shambhavi Pathak completed her initial education in India. She earned a BSc in Aeronautics and Aviation Science from the University of Mumbai. To become a pilot, Shambhavi Pathak went to New Zealand. She received her commercial pilot training from the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy. Between 2018 and 2019, she learned the intricacies of professional flying there. She also obtained her commercial pilot license from the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority.
What was her salary?
In the aviation sector, the salary of a first officer on a business jet depends on experience and the company. Generally, a first officer working on a jet like the Learjet earns approximately Rs 3 to 4 lakh per month.
Shambhavi Pathak also worked as an Assistant Flight Instructor. Here, she trained new pilots.

For a pilot, not only flying but also understanding safety regulations is extremely important. Shambhavi received Aviation Security (AVSEC) training from SpiceJet. She had also completed orientation training related to the A320 jet.
This was a Learjet 45 aircraft registered VT-SSK, owned by VSR Ventures. The aircraft’s total weight was 9752 kilograms. Shambhavi has been associated with this company since 2022. She studied aviation at the University of Mumbai and also received training at the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy from 2018 to 2019.
VSR Ventures Pvt Ltd is a private aviation company based in Delhi. Founded in 2011, it provides aircraft leasing services and also offers aviation consultancy. The owners are Captain Vijay Singh and Captain Rohit Singh. One of their planes was also involved in an accident at Mumbai Airport on September 14, 2023.
