Monsoon Update – Rain and Snowfall Alert in 5 States over Next 48 Hours, Here Full Weather Forecast

Monsoon Update: The weather across the country is about to change again. The weather is expected to change in many parts of North India, including India. Due to an active Western Disturbance, rain and snowfall are expected in the hilly states, while temperatures may rise in the plains. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that A new Western Disturbance is causing weather changes across India. While temperatures in the northern plains are rising, a sense of warmth is spreading.
Rain and snowfall are expected in some areas of the Himalayan region. According to the Meteorological Department, rain or snowfall may be observed in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir and the higher reaches of Ladakh on the morning of February 17th. The Meteorological Department estimates that the minimum temperature in Northwest India will increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three days. Minimum temperatures in the western regions are also expected to gradually increase over the next 24 hours. A warning has been issued for heatwave conditions in some parts of coastal Karnataka, Konkan, and Goa in southern and coastal India from February 17th.

Chances of rain and snowfall
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the Himalayan regions may change from February 16th. An alert has been issued for light to moderate rain and snowfall in the high-altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The impact will be more pronounced on February 17th and 18th. The Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad region will be affected between February 17th and 19th.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update
The weather in Delhi-NCR is currently expected to be clear. However, light fog or mist may be observed in the morning. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius, and the minimum between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for heavy thunderstorms and lightning, accompanied by rain, in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan on February 17 and 18.
Rain Warning in Northeast India
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland. Minimum temperatures are expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three days. Temperatures in northwest India may drop by 2 to 3 degrees. Minimum temperatures are not expected to change significantly over the next 24 hours, while a gradual increase of 2 to 3 degrees is possible in western India thereafter.
