Monsoon Alert: Amidst the steadily increasing heat in North and Western India, the International Monetary Fund (IMD) has issued a warning for rain and storms in several states. The Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the hilly states may experience snowfall and rain due to the impact of a Western Disturbance. Furthermore, the northeastern states are also expected to experience torrential rain.
Cloudy skies are expected in Delhi on February 9th. With the Holi festival, the cold has dissipated, and the heat is now increasing in most states across the country. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a warning for worsening weather in several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Delhi will be completely clear today. Due to the rising temperatures, people are likely to be troubled by the heat. The maximum temperature in the capital is expected to reach 34 to 36 degrees Celsius today. Clouds are also expected in Delhi tomorrow.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Update
The weather is changing in some districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, Sunday will be sunny throughout the day, but clouds may appear by evening. Some districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh may experience light rain on March 9 and 10.
Rain in hilly areas
According to reports, some districts in Bihar may also experience light rain on March 9 and 10. Due to a western disturbance, rain is expected in the high-altitudeareas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Rain likely in Himachal Pradesh
A rain alert has been issued for some areas of Himachal Pradesh from March 8-12. However, snowfall is likely in the mountainous areas.
Rain Alert in Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand today.
Bihar Weather Forecast
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds is expected on March 9 and 10. Temperatures are also expected to remain above normal.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast
According to the IMD, temperatures in some parts of the state may be 3 to 7 degrees Celsius above normal. Meanwhile, light rain accompanied by thunderstorms may occur in areas surrounding eastern Uttar Pradesh during March 9 and 10.
Thunderstorm alert issued for these nine states
Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience light rain and snowfall at higher altitudes during March 8–13.
Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms may be observed in Odisha during March 8–9.
West Bengal and Sikkim may experience thunderstorms from March 8–10.
A warning for light rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Bihar during March 9–10.
A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Jharkhand for March 9–11.
