iPhone Air 2 To Pack Dual 48MP Camera- iPhone Air 2 was originally planned to launch in India in 2026. Now, the launch has reportedly been postponed to spring 2027 to allow for redesigns and a better camera setup. The phone is expected to feature a 48MP dual rear camera setup instead of a single camera. Along with that, it will get the Apple A20 chip and a compact 6.5-inch OLED display, and it is also anticipated to feature a larger battery pack. New Launch Date
Reports from last month indicated that Apple paused the trial production of the iPhone Air 2 to redesign the product after the original model’s poor sales. The primary reason for the revision appears to be the addition of a second rear camera and an ultra-wide lens to enhance photography capabilities, which was a drawback of the single-lens first-generation model. The phone is now expected to launch in March 2027.

Performance
iPhone Air 2 is expected to be powered by the Apple A20 chip, likely built on a 2nm process. Analyst Mark Gurman suggests Apple’s main focus is an internal upgrade to a more efficient 2nm SoC rather than a major external redesign. It will provide good performance for daily usage and multitasking. Simultaneously, it is also expected to feature vapour chamber cooling for heat dissipation.
Camera Setup and Battery Pack
In the rear section of the iPhone Air 2, you can get a dual camera setup which will include a 48MP main sensor and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. Whereas in front, you can expect an 18MP selfie camera. Apart from that, it is expected to feature a larger battery pack than the previous 3149 mAh battery.
Display & Design
iPhone Air 2 will feature a 6.5-inch OLED display, possibly with ProMotion technology, and is expected to retain a thin and light form factor. The original model was 5.6 mm thick, so you will mainly see changes in the camera module.

Price
iPhone Air 2 is expected to be priced lower than the first-generation iPhone Air, which started at $999 globally and ₹1,19,900 in India. However, the exact price reduction is not known yet.
