Not Just Actors! India Now Bans Pakistani TV Channels – Here’s What Triggered the Move

Entertainment Blackout:  After the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, the Indian government has become very strict towards Pakistan. Its effect is also visible in our film industry.

Firstly, India refused to screen Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Gulaal’, here. Then, Pakistani actors and their YouTube channels were also banned in India. And now, the government has taken another big step!

News is coming that now Pakistani entertainment channels have also been banned in India. Meaning, now you and I will not be able to sit here and watch Pakistani dramas.

Which channels are banned?

According to an Instagram page named ‘Log Pakistan’, the Indian government has officially banned famous Pakistani entertainment channels like Hum TV, ARY Digital and Geo TV. From now on, people in India will not be able to watch Pakistani shows on these channels.

Following the government’s decision, differing opinions are emerging in both countries. Some people consider it a right political step by the government. In contrast, others are disappointed that they will no longer be able to see their favourite content and that cultural exchange will also be reduced.

According to the news, the Instagram accounts of several prominent stars, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Sajal Ali, Ali Zafar, Ayeza Khan, and Bilal Abbas, will no longer be visible in India.
