Recently, Salman Khan appeared on ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ (not ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’). Amidst many things in the show, the question of his marriage also came up. Everyone knows that Salman’s name has been associated with actresses like Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif, but he has never joined the ‘husband club’. When Archana Puran Singh once again sang the same old tune of Salman’s marriage, Bhaijaan answered amusingly. He said:
“I always say, what is the benefit of my getting married to you? Are you enjoying that I am celebrating Suhaagraat for you? What am I doing that you are enjoying so much that I get ruined.”
Salman’s direct attack on modern marriage: Divorce and alimony!
In a teaser clip of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’,Salman had said some serious things about modern marriage, which often ends in divorce. Salman’s words may have seemed funny, but the bitter truth that he mentioned is the reality of today’s society. The actor said that earlier people used to compromise in marriages, but now it is nowhere to be seen. He also noted that nowadays, couples declare divorce even over small things, like snoring. Salman also took a funny dig at those who take alimony after divorce. In his words:
“Earlier, people used to sacrifice for each other; there was a tolerance factor. Now, at night, one leg comes up, one snores, and divorce happens. A small misunderstanding leads to divorce. And then divorce is done, she even takes half the money and goes away.”
