UGC NET Registration 2026 Last Date: Big news has emerged for candidates preparing for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the deadline for online registration. Candidates who have not yet applied now have one final opportunity remaining. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

According to the official notification, the final date for submitting applications has now been set for May 24, 2026, until 11:50 PM. Previously, the last date for registration was May 23. This means that candidates have only a few hours left to submit their applications.

The NTA itself conveyed this information to the candidates by issuing a notification, ensuring that those who have not yet filled out the form can apply as soon as possible. The issued notification states that the National Testing Agency had been receiving requests from numerous candidates to extend the deadline for submitting online application forms for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. Consequently, a decision has been made to extend the deadline for submitting the UGC-NET June 2026 application forms.

UGC NET Exam Date 2026?
Applications for the UGC NET June 2026 examination commenced on April 29, 2026. This examination—conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships, Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions—will be held in the form of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) from June 22 to June 30, 2026.

Application Fee
The application fee for candidates in the General category has been set at ₹1,150. However, candidates belonging to the EWS and OBC categories are required to pay a fee of ₹600. Meanwhile, the application fee for SC, ST, and PwD candidates has been fixed at ₹325. The fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.

Click on the “UGC NET Registration 2026 – Apply Online” link.
Your registration number and password will be sent to your mobile phone.
Fill out the application form.
