Know which fields can be corrected.

Candidates who have applied will not have to worry about making corrections to their application form. They can make corrections in one of two fields: father’s name, qualification, and occupation or mother’s name, qualification, and occupation.

Details of educational qualification (Class X and Class XII), State/Union Territory from where passed/appearing for 12th/equivalent examination, Category, Subcategory/Person with Disability, Signature, Number of attempts in NEET (UG). Selection of exam city based on permanent address an, medium of examination. Candidates will be allowed to change their identity details.

How many lakh students applied?

Preparations for the NEET UG 2026 exam have already begun. According to a report, more than 2.26 million applications have been received from across the country. The NEET UG exam will be held on May 3, 2026. The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode.

The timing for this exam will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. This exam will provide admission to MBBS and other medical courses in government and private medical colleges across the country. A total of approximately 129,000 MBBS seats are currently vacant across the country.
