BPSC 72nd CCE Prelims Date 2026 Announced – Official Notification in May; Exam on July 26

BPSC Exam Date 2026 Announced: Big news is coming for millions of youth seeking government jobs. The Bihar Public Service Commission has released the full exam schedule for the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4). Candidates preparing for the 72nd Preliminary Examination will be informed that the examinations will be held between September 22, 2026, and September 27, 2026. However, the results will be declared in November. A total of 46,595 posts are to be filled under this recruitment drive.

According to the official BPSC notification, the 72nd BPSC Preliminary Examination will be held at various examination centres across Bihar. The examination will be held on July 26, 2026. A detailed notification regarding the 72nd Preliminary Examination is expected to be released by the BPSC in May. Candidates will be able to apply for this examination very soon.

Who can apply?

This recruitment is for candidates who wish to become teachers at the Classes 1 to 5, Middle (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary (Classes 9-10), and Higher Secondary (Classes 11-12) levels.

These positions will be filled in schools run by the Education Department and the Scheduled Caste/Tribe Welfare Department.

Why is the TRE-4 recruitment necessary?

Millions of young people participated in the previous phases of this recruitment. A large number of candidates can apply in this phase as well. The preliminary examination for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination will be held on July 26, 2026.

The examination will be conducted in three phases: preliminary, main, and interview. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination, and those who qualify in the main examination will be called for an interview. Who can apply?
The minimum age for applying is 20, and the maximum is 37. Age relaxation will also be provided to candidates from reserved categories.
