Bihar Board Exam 2026 – Gate to Close 30 Mins Before Exam, Check New Guidelines

Bihar Board Exam 2026: The Intermediate board examinations will be conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) between February 2nd and February 13th. Before the exams began, the board released the exam guidelines via a tweet. The board also stated that adherence to the prescribed rules is mandatory. Legal action will be taken against anyone who violates these rules.

This year, 15,12,963 and 13,17,846 students will appear for the Bihar Board 2026 Matric and Intermediate annual examinations, respectively, across the state. The BSEB Bihar Board Intermediate exams will be held from February 2 to February 13. The board exams will be conducted in two shifts daily.

What are the rules?
Important rules issued for candidates appearing in the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026:

The entry time at the examination centre is 1 hour before the start of the examination.
The main gate of the examination centre will close 30 minutes before the start of the examination. The gate will not be opened after 9 AM under any circumstances. The first shift examination will start at 9:30 AM. The centre’s gates will open for students of this shift from 8:30 AM and remain open until 9:00 AM. No entry will be allowed after 9:00 AM. The second shift examination will start at 2:30 PM. Students of this shift will be given entry from 1:30 PM. The gates will be closed at 2:00 PM.

Legal action will be taken for violations
According to the notification, any student who forcibly and illegally enters the examination premises will be expelled from the examination for 2 years. Orders have also been given to take suspension and legal action against the centre superintendent who allows a student to sit for the examination after illegal entry.
