There is confusion among the common people about getting caste certificate. Many do not know whether this certificate can be obtained from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office or whether one has to go to the District Magistrate’s office. To end that confusion, the Alipurduar Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office has issued clear guidelines.
According to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office, caste certificate will be issued directly to the residents of Alipurduar sub-division from this office. However, certain rules and procedures have to be followed to get the certificate. Alipurduar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Debabrata Roy himself has made the common people aware of this issue through social media.
Caste certificate is essential for various competitive exams for jobs or admission to schools and colleges. In the first step, to get this certificate, one has to apply online. Applicants have to fill the application form from the specific portal of the state government.
