Train Cancelled Alert: Big shock to train passengers. A rolling block will be imposed in the Adra Railway Division from June 9th to June 14th for track maintenance and repair work. Due to this, the South Eastern Railway has decided to cancel several trains and alter the operation of some others. Importantly, this railway decision will affect thousands of passengers from Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal.
8 trains were cancelled
According to information released by the railways, eight trains will be cancelled on various dates. These include…
- 68061/68062 Adra-Asansol-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled on 11th June.
- Whereas, 68090/68089 Adra-Medinipur-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled on 9th June i.e. today and 12th and 14th June.
- 68077/68078 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled on 9th and 14th June.
- 68079/68080 Bhojudih-Chandrapura-Bhojudih MEMU will remain cancelled on 9th, 12th and 14th June.
These trains will have brief terminations and short origins.
Please note that the Railways has chosen not to operate certain trains to their planned destinations.
- 18116/18115 – Chakradharpur-Gomo-Chakradharpur Express will only travel as far as Mahuda on the 9th, 12th, and 14th of June.
- 68056/68060- Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU/Barabhum MEMU will only run to Adra on the 11th of June.
- 68055/68056- Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU will only go to Adra on the 10th and 13th of June.
- 63594/63593-Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU will only operate up to Adra on the 10th and 13th of June.
- 18035/18036-Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express will only reach Adra on the 10th and 13th of June.
The route for this train has been modified.
It is important to mention that the Railways has also altered the route of the 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, which is set to leave Tatanagar on June 9th and 13th. Instead of its regular path, the train will now travel to Hatia via Chandil, Gundabihar, and Muri. The Railways has advised passengers to verify the current status of their train prior to traveling to prevent any issues later.
Meanwhile
The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Railway Division has suspended the Ara-Varanasi-Ara MEMU passenger train for the next 100 days. The railway administration has made this decision due to track upgrades and modern technical work. This decision will cause inconvenience to thousands of daily commuters.
According to the railway administration, the mega block has been initiated in the division to modernize tracks, lay new rail lines, and install an electronic interlocking system. The railways say that after the work is completed, train operations will become safer and more punctual.
