Silver Rate Crash Feb 6: Gold and silver prices fluctuate daily. There’s global turmoil in silver prices. The price of silver in the international market has fallen by up to 40% from its high. On Thursday alone, the price of silver on COMEX fell by 20%, to $64 per ounce. Today, Friday, a sharp decline is being observed in the rates of both gold and silver. On MCX, silver prices fell by ₹15,000 per kg at 9 AM. The price of silver has fallen to ₹2,29,872. Gold prices have also declined today. Gold is also down 0.82 per cent. The price of gold has reached ₹1,50,675 per 10 grams.
The April 2026 expiry gold futures contract on MCX closed at ₹1,52,260 per 10 grams on Thursday. This was about ₹28,500 below its record high of ₹1,80,779 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the price of silver on MCX closed at ₹2,46,452 per kg, about ₹1,73,500 below its all-time high of ₹4,20,048 per kg.
Silver Price in India: Looking at the decline in silver prices on MCX during the last trading day, the price of 1 kg of silver fell to ₹2,30,499 in early trading. However, some recovery was seen towards the end of trading, but it still closed significantly lower than its high at ₹2,43,815 per kilogram. Based on this calculation, silver futures became cheaper by ₹25,035 per kg in a single day.
