Gold-Silver Prices Today: Prices of gold and silver have declined. On Saturday, March 14 (Friday in the US), gold prices on COMEX fell by over $102. The price of gold was recorded at $5,023 per ounce. Meanwhile, silver prices declined by 5.25 per cent, trading at ₹80.64 per ounce. On Friday, gold and silver prices declined on the MCX. The price of 10 grams of gold closed at ₹158,400—becoming cheaper by approximately ₹100—while silver was recorded at ₹259,279 after falling by ₹8,683. Gold is currently ₹34,600 cheaper than its all-time record high, and silver is down by ₹1.60 lakh.
IBJA Gold Rates
According to data from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 24-carat gold closed at ₹158,399 per 10 grams on Friday evening. This compares to its price of ₹160,303 on the preceding Thursday. In a single day, the price of gold fell by ₹1,904. The price of 22-carat gold closed at ₹145,093 per 10 grams, while the price of 18-carat gold was recorded at ₹118,799 per 10 grams.
Throughout the week, silver prices have appeared to trend downward in both India and globally. MCX gold closed below the ₹1.60 lakh mark, and MCX silver witnessed a decline of 1%.
