Post Office Offers 30 Thousand Rupees to Secondary School Students โ€“ Full Details Inside

Big opportunity for job seekers looking for central government jobs. The Indian Postal Department has released a notification for recruitment to a large number of vacancies across the country. According to government sources, more than 28 thousand posts will be recruited to strengthen services at the rural level. This recruitment process will be carried out in 23 postal circles of the country.

Out of which, there are about three thousand vacancies in the West Bengal circle alone. The postal department has informed that recruitment will be made to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). Applications will be accepted completely online. Candidates will have to submit their applications by visiting the specified portal.

Where and how to apply?

The application starts from January 31. Candidates will have to visit the official website and fill the form within the specified time. The last date for submission of application forms is February 14. The last day for submission of application fee is February 16. The probable date for publication of the final merit list is February 28.

Age Limit

The minimum age of the applicant is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other reserved categories will get age relaxation as per the government rules.

Educational Qualification

Apply only after passing the Madhyamik or equivalent examination from a recognized board. It is noteworthy that no written examination will be conducted for this recruitment. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Madhyamik examination. As a result, candidates are getting the opportunity to be directly recruited on the basis of merit without the hassle of the examination.

Salary Structure

The monthly remuneration for the post of Rural Dak Sevak and Assistant Branch Postmaster can start from Rs 10,000 and can go up to a maximum of about 24 thousand taka. The salary for the post of Branch Postmaster is comparatively higher. Starting from about 12,000 taka to about 29 thousand taka.

Application Fee

The application fee for general and other category candidates is 100 taka. However, it has been informed that the application fee has been waived for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and female candidates.
