New Delhi: The government may announce a major boon for all farmers enrolled under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme by the last week of June. It is anticipated that the Central Government could transfer the 23rd instalment—amounting to ₹2,000—directly into the farmers’ bank accounts. This move is expected to yield significant benefits for the farming community.
The government released the 22nd instalment on March 13, 2026. Since then, all farmers have been eagerly awaiting the upcoming disbursement—a wait that is now drawing to a close. However, to avail the benefits of the next instalment, farmers must first complete certain essential formalities; doing so will ensure a hassle-free receipt of the funds.
Key Details Regarding the PM Kisan Scheme
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, farmers are provided with an annual financial assistance of ₹12,000, disbursed in three instalments of ₹4,000 each. This total amount is transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts in three equal tranches of ₹2,000. There is a mandatory interval of four months between each instalment. If you fulfil all the eligibility criteria but your name is currently missing from the list, you can register yourself to be included in the scheme.
Farmers: Complete These Tasks Promptly
If you wish to receive the benefits of the upcoming instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, there are a few crucial requirements you must address first. Two of these are of paramount importance: first, the completion of e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) verification; and second, linking your Aadhaar card with your bank account.
Furthermore, the government has explicitly clarified that e-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiary farmers. This process can be completed online using an OTP (One-Time Password). Alternatively, biometric e-KYC verification can be carried out at any nearby CSC (Common Service Center).
How Farmers Can Check Their Status
Farmers can check the status of their instalment from the comfort of their homes.
First, visit the official PM Kisan website.
Next, navigate to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section and select ‘Beneficiary Status.’
You will then be required to enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number.
After entering the required details, fill in the captcha code and click on ‘Get Status.’
All relevant information regarding your instalment will then be displayed on the screen.
Find Out Which Farmers’ InstaInstalments Be Withheld
The Central Government has initiated an investigation into certain specific cases. There is also a possibility that some individuals may be availing the benefits of the scheme fraudulently. In such instances, payments may be temporarily withheld. Specifically, payments may be suspended for those who purchased land after February 1, 2019, as well as in cases where more than one member of the same family is receiving benefits under the scheme.
