The government is expected to release the 23rd instalment amounting to ₹2,000 by the last week of July. This clearly implies that there are still several months to go. These instalments are set to benefit over 90 million farmers, proving to be a significant boon for the agricultural community.
To date, the government has successfully transferred 22 instalments of ₹2,000 each. However, if your name is listed under the scheme but you have not completed certain mandatory formalities, your payment could get stalled. Therefore, it is crucial to complete these essential tasks beforehand; failure to do so will result in the farmers’ funds being withheld.
Know the Essential Updates
The Central Government released the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on March 13, 2025. Experts anticipate that the 23rd instalment is likely to be transferred during July. Typically, the government releases these instalments of four months.
If you are a small or marginal farmer possessing cultivable land, you remain eligible for this scheme. The government’s primary objective is to provide financial support to farmers to help them meet their minor agricultural requirements.
Complete These Mandatory Tasks
Farmers wishing to avail themselves of the benthemsethemselvesthe upcoming instalment must first complete a few essential formalities. Failure to do so will result in the withholding of the next—i.e., the 23rd—instalment. Therefore, you must first link your bank account with your Aadhaar card and, secondly, complete your e-KYC verification process.
It is important to note that the government has explicitly clarified that the benefit of the next instalment will not be extended to those who have not completed their e-KYC. To ensure the transparency of the scheme, the government is now conducting rigorous physical verification of land records and strictly scrutinising bank details.
Check Your Scheme Eligibility Status
Instances where the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme gets withheld are not uncommon. The most significant reasons for a stalled installation are errors in bank details or a mismatch with the Aadhaar card information. Beneficiary farmers can check their ‘Beneficiary Status’ by visiting the official PM Kisan website. Here, you will be able to check whether your e-KYC is complete and whether your name has been included in the next list. Please note that only those farmers who meet the criteria established by the government and whose documents are fully updated will be eligible.
