PM Kisan Yojana: There’s great news for the country’s millions of food providers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to release the much-anticipated 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on March 13, 2026. According to reports, during a grand event, PM Modi will transfer Rs 2,000 each directly into farmers’ bank accounts by pressing a remote button. However, this time too, there will be millions of farmers whose accounts will not receive this amount. The government has tightened the rules to identify ineligible beneficiaries.

Your money could be stuck due to these reasons

Only farmers who have completed their paperwork will qualify for the benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana. If you do not fulfill the following requirements, your installment might be delayed:

The government has made e-KYC a requirement for all beneficiaries. Farmers who have not yet updated their e-KYC via the PM Kisan portal or at their nearest CSC center risk missing the 22nd installment.

Land Seeding: To ensure transparency in the scheme, the government has mandated land seeding. If the verification of land documents in your application indicates “No,” the funds will not be credited. You will need to reach out to your local accountant or the agriculture department for assistance.

Name mismatch between Aadhaar and bank account: Occasionally, transactions may fail due to discrepancies in name spellings between your Aadhaar card and bank passbook. Additionally, it is crucial to have your bank account linked to your Aadhaar (Aadhaar Mapping).

Ineligibility categories: If any family member pays income tax or holds a government job, they are not eligible for this scheme. The government is now taking recovery actions against those who have wrongfully received benefits.

Before your installment is disbursed, farmers should verify their status by visiting the official website, pmkisan.gov.in. Click on the “Know Your Status” option and input your registration number. Make sure that all three options, e-KYC, Eligibility, and Land Seeding, are marked “Yes.”

If there are any issues with your status, correct them promptly so that the installment scheduled for March 13 can be credited to your account without any delays.
