Petrol-Diesel Prices Today: The 77th Republic Day celebrations are in full swing across the country today. January 26th is the day when India became a republic with the adoption of its constitution. Meanwhile, on Republic Day, several cities in India witnessed fluctuations in petrol and diesel prices.
In some major cities, petrol prices saw a decrease of 22 to 26 paise. Diesel prices also registered a decrease of up to 30 paise per litre. Find out where petrol and diesel have become cheaper
In Delhi-NCR, petrol and diesel prices have decreased by 22 to 28 paise. According to the Indian Oil website, in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, petrol has become 22 paise cheaper, trading at around Rs 94.9litreer. Diesel in Gautam Buddh Nagar district has also seen a decrease of 28 paise.
Its price has reached Rs 88.01/litre. In Ghaziabad, Delhi-NCR, petrol was recorded at Rs 94.75/litre with an increase of 31 paise, and diesel at Rs 87.86/litre with an increase of 35 paise.
Meanwhile, there is not much change in petrol and diesel prices in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In Patna, the capital of Bihar, petrol has decreased by 12 paise to Rs 105.58 per litre, while diesel is selling at Rs 91.82 per litre with an increase of 1 paisa.
No change in rates in these major cities
There has been no change in petrol and diesel prices in the capital, Delhi. The price of petrol in Delhi is recorded at Rs 94.72litrer. In Mumbai, petrol is trending at Rs 103.44/litre. In Chennai, petrol is being sold at ₹100.76 per litre.
In Kolkata, petrol is priced at ₹104.95 per litre. In Noida, which is adjacent to Delhi, petrol is trending at ₹94.90 per litre. In Ghaziabad, petrol is selling at ₹94.75 per litre. In Patna, the capital of Bihar, petrol is trending at ₹105.58 per litre.

For your information, Indian petroleum companies have not changed petrol and diesel prices for a long time. Prices have remained stable, which has caused considerable disappointment among consumers. In other words, there seems to be no hope of prices coming down.
