Old Age Security for Laborers, Monthly Pension of ₹3,000, Learn the Details

Government Pension Scheme: The Central and State governments are implementing special schemes to benefit the people. Through these schemes, the government is strengthening people financially. Recently, the government has given laborers great news. Laborers living in Firozabad will no longer be dependent on anyone in their old age. Under the central government’s pension scheme, laborers will receive thousands of rupees as a pension every month. To apply, laborers will need to go to their nearest labor department. Beneficiaries will receive a pension after registration, allowing them to live a comfortable life in old age.

Pension will be available after 60 years of age

Firozabad Labor Enforcement Officer Vineet Tripathi stated that the government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. Registered laborers can apply and receive a pension under this scheme. The age limit is between 18 and 40 years. An 18-year-old worker will need to deposit ₹55 per month, and a 40-year-old worker will need to deposit ₹200 per month. After making these contributions, workers will receive a monthly pension of ₹3,000 upon reaching the age of 60. This will ensure they are free from dependency in their old age and will enable them to live comfortably.

The scheme also has the option to be discontinued

The labor enforcement officer stated that registration is required to avail the scheme. Applications will be made online. Only workers with a monthly income of less than ₹15,000 can avail the scheme. If a worker does not find the scheme suitable, they can discontinue it midway. The Life Insurance Corporation of India has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing pension benefits under the scheme, which will ensure the pension distribution process.
