How to Cancel Train Tickets on IRCTC

IRCTC makes it easy to cancel tickets if travel plans change. If a ticket is cancelled 48 hours before the train’s departure, the remaining amount is refunded after deducting a fixed fee. Different fares apply for different classes. If a ticket is cancelled 48 to 12 hours in advance, approximately 25 percent of the fare is deducted. However, if cancelled 12 to 4 hours in advance, approximately 50 percent of the fare is deducted.
