April 14: Multiple festivals
Many states will see banks closed on April 14 due to celebrations like Ambedkar Jayanti, Baisakhi, Tamil New Year, and Bihu.
April 15: Local festival
On April 15, banks will be closed in Tripura, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh due to New Year and other festivities. Banking services will also be impacted by Bihu in some states on April 16, Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya in Karnataka on April 20, and Garia Puja in Tripura on April 21.
How to work when the bank is closed?
Despite bank branch closures, customers can still use digital means. ATMs for cash withdrawals and online money transfers through UPI, NEFT, and RTGS will remain operational 24×7. You can also use banks’ Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) to deposit cash. Mobile banking and net banking allow you to complete important financial tasks from the comfort of your home.
