Akasa Air: Good news for air travellers. Following IndiGo Airlines, Akasa Air has also unveiled its flight schedule for services departing from Jewar’s Noida International Airport. The airline announced on Monday that operations will commence on June 16th, and ticket booking services for Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai have been launched.

Anand Srinivasan, co-founder and chief commercial officer of Akasa Air, mentioned that Noida Airport is set to become a significant aviation hub in the future, thanks to its state-of-the-art facilities and excellent connectivity. There is a strong demand for direct flights to Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai, and in the future, both domestic and international flights will be expanded from this location. Ticket booking services for both destinations started on Monday. Passengers can now secure their tickets via the airline’s official website, mobile app, and various online travel platforms.

The company will also establish an MRO facility

Akasa Air is set to develop a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Noida Airport. An agreement has already been finalized with the company for this initiative. On March 28th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for an MRO hub at the airport. This hub will facilitate aircraft maintenance and servicing. In the initial phase, it will cover 40 acres, with plans to expand to 1,365 hectares in the second phase.

Aircraft can operate both day and night

CAT-3 equipment has been installed at Noida International Airport. Consequently, flights will now be able to operate both during the day and at night from the airport. Additionally, successful landings will be achievable even in heavy fog and rain. Weather-related equipment has already been set up at the airport, ensuring reliable flight schedules, and passengers will enjoy timely arrivals. International flights may also resume by the end of this year.

Electric buses will run on four routes from the airport
