AI Summit 2026 Delhi: A major global event focused on artificial intelligence, the AI Impact Summit, is taking place in New Delhi today. This summit is considered highly significant internationally. Presidents from approximately seven countries, prime ministers from nine countries, and CEOs of the world’s leading AI companies will participate. Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, who is known for his significant contributions to the development and safe use of modern AI systems, will also be a part of the event.
Extensive preparations have been made in New Delhi for this summit. Security has been tightened, and traffic has been diverted on several major routes to ensure the safe movement of global leaders and distinguished guests.
Issues to be discussed at the summit
During the AI Impact Summit, several important topics related to the growing influence of artificial intelligence will be discussed. Issues such as the impact of AI on employment opportunities, cybersecurity challenges, and the environmental impact of large data centers will be key. The conference will feature Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Google DeepMind head Demis Hassabis, Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch, and Meta AI executive Alexander Wang, among many other industry and technology leaders. The Indian startup ecosystem will also be prominently represented.
Special Session on Employment and AI
On February 16th, the conference will begin with a session on “The Future of Employment in the Age of AI.” Speakers such as V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Sanjeev Bikhchandani from the industry, Anurag Mairal from Stanford University of Medicine, and Shashi Shekhar Vempati from AI4India will share their views.
Another session on employment will be held on February 19th. A special fireside chat with Dario Amodei is also scheduled for the afternoon of the same day, where discussions on the safe and responsible development of AI will be held.
On February 20th, a session on “The Role of AI in Economic Growth and Social Welfare” will be held, exploring how AI technology can positively impact society and the economy.
