Aadhaar Update: Locating the appropriate Aadhaar service center is about to get a lot simpler. UIDAI has teamed up with MapmyIndia to feature authorized Aadhaar centers nationwide on the Mappls app. This innovative feature is designed to assist individuals in finding the correct, verified Aadhaar center, enabling them to complete their tasks without any hassle. All users will have access to this feature in the upcoming months.
What makes this feature special?
This new addition will enable users to effortlessly locate Aadhaar centers in their vicinity. It will not only show the locations but also provide details about the services offered at each center.
For instance, if you need to apply for a new Aadhaar card, change your address, or update your mobile number, you can search for a center that meets your needs. This will save you time and prevent the need for multiple visits to different places.
Additionally, this feature will help safeguard individuals from incorrect or unauthorized centers, as it will only display verified locations.
How can you find your nearest Aadhaar center?
Once this feature is launched, locating an Aadhaar center will be much more straightforward. To do this, simply download or open the Mappls app on your smartphone.
Next, enable your location and enter ‘Aadhaar center’ or ‘Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ in the search bar. All authorized centers in your area will then be displayed on the map.
You can click on any center to access complete information, including the services it provides and how to reach it. This will assist you in selecting the center that best fits your requirements.
Meanwhile UIDAI has amended some rules regarding Aadhaar enrollment and Aadhaar correction. These changes may affect users who have applied for and are updating their Aadhaar cards. These rules have been notified under the Third Amendment Regulations, 2025.
Under the new rules, the documents that can be used as proof of identity, address, relationship, or date of birth have been updated. UIDAI has made these changes for all age groups, including children, youth, and senior citizens. If you are planning to update or update your Aadhaar card , learn about these documents.
Documents for Name Changes
UIDAI has approved several types of identification for name correction. Passport is the most reliable document, containing your photo, name, date of birth, and address. Additionally, PAN card, Voter ID (EPIC), driver’s license, government identification card, and marriage certificate can also be used for name updates.
