Government Scheme: The Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan Yojana is an ambitious self-employment scheme launched by the Uttar Pradesh government and implemented through the Directorate of Industries and Enterprise Promotion. The government wants young people to put their skills and small business ideas into practice and become economically self-reliant.

This scheme is specifically designed for young people who may not have advanced degrees but possess skills and a strong work ethic. The government aims to help one lakh young people start their own businesses every year and connect ten lakh youth with self-employment opportunities over the next ten years.

Why is this scheme special for youth with limited education?

The biggest advantage of the CM Yuva scheme is that it does not require higher education. If a young person has completed at least 8th or 10th grade and possesses a skill certificate from a recognized institution, they can apply for this scheme.

Certificates from ITI, computer courses, tailoring, beauty parlors, electrician training, mobile repairing, ODOP (One District One Product), Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, or any other skill training are considered sufficient for this scheme. This provides an opportunity for young people who have dropped out of school but have acquired practical skills.

How much loan and what kind of relief is offered under the scheme?

Under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan Yojana, young people receive financial assistance based on their business plan. For small businesses or service-based ventures, loans up to Rs 5 lakh are completely interest-free and require no collateral.

If a young person wants to start a larger business, they can receive a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh, with heavily subsidized interest rates and easy installment payments. In addition, the government provides a subsidy of 10 to 15 percent of the project cost, which does not need to be repaid. This means the government itself becomes a partner in your business, along with providing the loan.

Who can benefit from the CM Yuva scheme?

This scheme is open to young people who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh and are between the ages of 21 and 40. Applicants must have a minimum of an 8th or 10th-grade education and possess a skill training certificate from a recognized institution.

Additionally, applicants must not be currently benefiting from any other government self-employment loan scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide opportunities to new entrepreneurs, not to give existing beneficiaries a double advantage.
